Cleaning make up brushes can be such a chore, but its gotta be done. Can’t be painting your face with unclean brushes with maybe weeks of bacteria building up, just because we can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there :/
So today I’m sharing with you guys a quick post on how I clean my brushes 🙂
I store my brushes in this golden vase, how beautiful is it eh? It’s from Wilko, I’ve shared the link with you guys in my previous ‘Bedroom Details’ post.
Anyways….going off point as usual….So I use baby shampoo to wash my brushes. I was so gutted to see there was only a tiny bit left 🙁 but then later I found a whole new bottle stored away right at the back. Phew! Perks of younger siblings 🙂
I put a tiny bit on the palm of my hand and then get the brush and brush it on the palm of my hand in circular motion
You will see the shampoo lather up, then rinse and then repeat! Simples!
But quite time consuming if you have a lot of brushes, but like I said its gotta be done! Hygiene first, ALWAYS!
Now just wipe them gently and place them on a dry surface or a towel and let them dry naturally.
Of course no one has time to wash their brushes daily, so I definitely recommend investing in a daily brush cleaner, mine is for Elf Cosmetics, it’s perfect to give your brushes a quick clean on a day to day basis.
I hope you all found this post useful, sorry for the late night posts, but I’m working most of the day 🙁 will try to upload earlier in the day 🙂
