Heyyyy lovely people, I currently have a break at work so thought why not blog? 🙂 Today I wanted to share with you guys another dessert. Very easy and inspired by my friend Humairaa (I know you’re reading this with a big smile on your face Humairaa lol).
So this is what it looks like, beautiful isn’t it? Perfect for dinner parties!
So make sure you have all the ingredients, you need:
- Milk chocolate (roughly 200g, you could purchase the bars from Tesco)
- Custard (1kg is more than enough)
- Brownies (You could use the ASDA range, Thorntons range or any other range)
- Whipping cream or double cream (x 2)
Note: these are just a rough guidelines, it all depends on how big your dish is.
Start of by making some chocolate custard by heating the custard on a hob and breaking the chocolate pieces into the custard, whilst simultaneously stirring continuously at medium heat. Alternatively you could just purchase chocolate custard. Remember to save some chocolate to create some chocolate flakes to add as a topping at the end, to give it that final touch.
Let the custard cool (This is very IMPORTANT), and then pour it into your dish and layer it up with the chocolate brownies.
Now whip some cream, you could use whipping cream or double cream, either will work just fine.
Layer the whipping cream on top, try and be as neat as possible, any residue on the sides, just wipe away with a tissue.
Now cut some strawberries into quarters. Again save some un-chopped strawberries for later, as you will need it for the decoration.
Now layer on those strawberries! Now all you have to do is repeat these steps again! It’s completely up to you how you want to do it from here.
Decorate by adding a few strawberries on top and you can flake the chocolates using a peeler or grater to get fine, thin slices of chocolate, sprinkle them on top! And done!
The same dessert can be made in many different sizes. Below are two alternatives. The first one is what Humairaa made for me and my friends, it’s the perfect dessert size following exactly the same steps as above.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! There will be plenty more, so watch this space! 😉
